Col. Isaac Allerton, father of Col. Willoughby Allerton, was the son of Isaac Allerton who was one of the Pilgrims who came on the Mayflower in 1620 to Plymouth, MA.

Northumberland County VA Order Bk 4, P 392----Oct. 8, 1687
Mrs. Elizabeth Keene brought her account to this court against Mr. Andrew Grigg, commander of the ship Swan of Belfast and declared that the said Grigg has caused a pine tree to be fallen on her land and made into a main mast for his said ship without her consent and carried it away without making her any satisfaction. It is ordered that Mr. Girgg pay her the sum of 20 shillings
Burial of William Keene
William Keene is buried on Cypress Farm in Northumberland County. This site is said to be near the site of the William Keene residence and lies on the left of the road leading from the main highway to Lewisetta at the head of of Garners Creek. Garners Creek was named for John Garner who owned land across the creek from William Keene.
Over his grave is a horizontal slab of heavy marble which was probably made in England.
This marble slab is broken , but the inscription can still be read.

year of his age.
Notes: After the death of William Keene, Elizabeth married Thomas Banks whose grave is beside that of William Keene. She is probably buried there also. The slab on the grave of Thomas Banks is in excellent condition and bears this inscription.
