Ashbrook Family by Helen Hutchcraft and Julia Spencer Ardery
| Felix Grundy Ashbrook, son of Aaron, grandson of Aaron, great-grandson of John, was born in Hampshire County VA 1768; died in Harrison County Ky 1843. He married Elizabeth Todd (born 1768; died in Harrison County KY 1838), daughter of John Todd by his first wife. According to family tradition, this Felix Grundy Ashbrook was at one time in the fort of Boonesboro. Felix Grundy Ashbrook had two children, Aaron and Cassandra. The family came to Harrison County KY from Bourbon County KY in 1804 and lived on their farm on Indian Creek until 1821, when they moved to their farm on Mill Creek, three miles from Cynthiana. Felix and his son, Aaron, both died in the old stone house and were buried on the place. Aaron Ashbrook and his sister, Cassandra Ashbrook, married sister and brother, Sara Stewart Veach and Joseph Veach, the children of Thomas Veach, born April 19, 1770; died Sept. 19, 1842, and Jane Stewart Huff Veach, born July 8, 1765, died Oct.11,1840, married Sept. 30, 1790. |
