only son of John4 Roberts, was on the 1850 Census of Drew County AR in Marion Township, Family No. 36 living near Abel Whitehead, No. 31 in Marion Township. Levi Jordan was family No. 17. Abel Whitehead may have been the uncle of James Roberts, brother of his mother. Abel Whitehead was probably the father of Melissa who married Levi Jordan. She was born ca 1829 and was about two years older than John M. Whitehead born ca 1831.
