He married (2) Modena B. Shaw Nov. 24, 1896 Caldwell Co. TX.
She is buried beside him and her tombstone reads June 10, 1869 to Dec. 9, 1958.

She was the daughter of Francis L. Hermann and Emma Virginia Lockwood.
She was born Oct. 9, 1881 and died Apr. 9, 1965.
